Photographing babies has been such a natural progression for me in my life.
Beginning as a mother in 2020 during covid; then having a second baby in 22-2-22 (yes I’m going to say the date like that for the rest of my life lol)- handling newborns is literally second nature for me.
My approach to newborn photography is more on the natural side of things these days, I love natural no clothes so we can see every wrinkle and peach fuzz.
My go to colour is white and soft browns and beiges. My cover ups are earthy colours
While your new baby is certainly the star of the show-sibling, and family photo’s are encouraged and included as an essential part of all newborn sessions.
Newborn photography sessions are ideally done between day 5 and 14 of life, to really capture that fresh baby phase. To make this happen pre-planning is recommended so I can ensure you fit into my schedule when baby does decide to arrive.
If you have missed this ideal stage for whatever reason, I do however encourage all babies to be photographed at whatever age they are now. Just understand as they get older they may be more awake and alert, and sleepy, curly images less likely (all beautiful in my opinion but just so you're aware!).
Most of my sessions are in-home lifestyle, my recommendation before I arrive is to open all windows and curtains. In summer I ask to have fans on medium and A/C off unless there is a heatwave.
I’m currently setting up a room in my home for newborn photos on a posing bag. My dream is to do this full time after education and learning about safety and compositions.
My newborn studio is just 10mins from the Cairns city located in Woree, alternatively i will travel to you at no extra charge or a small travel fee of $75 outside of cairns.

A more personalised and loveable session. Grabbing those finer details of bub, I do offer traditional studio style but in your home. Every session I bring a posing bean bag, curtains and sheets. Please make sure your home is clean and try avoid black and blue colours.

These sessions are designed to be relaxed and minimally intrusive. There’s no need for props or elaborate setups—just you, your baby, and the beautiful connection you share.

What’s involved?
My newborn sessions come to you! All I ask is a well lit window and a little bit of room to work. My goal is to make this as comfortable for the parents who are in the pit of recovery and learning about their babies. These kind of sessions can last up to 2.5 hours if only bub is getting photos with additional 1 hour for parents sibling involvement.
There is lots of stopping, feeding, changing and settling. Please don’t be discouraged, I will bring more then enough backdrop to account for accidents. I will follow your lead and make this time as comfortable as possible
